Introduction
Countryside Properties intend to submit a planning application for proposed development of 78 new homes on the site of the Former Trelleborg Factory, Halfpenny Lane, Knaresborough.
In accordance with the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement, Countryside Properties are looking to work alongside the local community and welcomes the opportunity to engage with local residents and businesses as part of this consultation.
About the Site
The site previously housed the Trelleborg Factory and associated buildings have recently been demolished. The site can be accessed from Halfpenny Lane and lies just north of the railway line. The site is outlined in red on the plan below.
The site is not allocated for any particular use in the Harrogate Local Plan, but it is included on the Council's Brownfield Land Register which identifies sites which are considered to be appropriate for redevelopment for residential use.
